Black mood
To be in a black mood means to be irritable, angry or even depressed – also to be in a bad mood.

To say someone or an organization is in the black means that they are financially sound, and have a positive balance in their account.

The black market refers to the illegal buying and selling of goods or currencies.
Black sheep
The black sheep of the family is one who is very different from the others and least respected by other members of the family.
Black gold
Black gold refers to the black color and high value of oil.
Out of the blue
If something happens out of the blue, it happens unexpectedly.
Brown as a berry
Means that someone is very suntanned.
Browned off
Means to be bored, fed up, or disheartened.
Golden handshake
A golden handshake is a generous sum of money given to a person when they leave a company or retire (sometimes given to encourage early retirement).
Golden opportunity
Is a favorable time or excellent occasion which should not be missed.
Green fingers
Someone who has green fingers knows how to look after plants well.

Someone who is green with envy is a person who is very envious.

Grey (USA: gray) refers to the brain or grey color of brain tissue.

To have a grey existence is to lead a dull monotonous life.

A person who sees red has become very angry or annoyed.

If a person or organization is in the red, they owe money or have a negative account.

Means to give special treatment to an important or honored visitor.

A silver lining refers to the good or pleasant side effects of an unpleasant situation.  The every cloud has a silver lining is a proverb which means that there is a positive or hopeful side to every unpleasant situation.
Silver spoon
Someone who was born with a silver spoon in their mouth means that their family is rich and privileged.
White as a ghost/sheet

Such a person looks very pale and frightened.
White lie
